SkyKid,
Newbies are welcome too!

Clayt,
I've done some research on the EDM and CNC process before getting the 264 RLB barrel made. Even though I didn't go that route, it would be interesting to see how the process works first hand. Not to mention, Mike from OTT is going to make a 264 RLB barrel in the Spring for Jude.

Sure wish I could attend. Too far for me though...and money's tight. What a shame, though. I hear the snipes up in that neck of the woods are awful tasty, but, I'm too old to catch the darned things anymore anyway. Maybe there will be someone young enough in attendance who's got the agility and endurance to catch dinner for everyone.

Ah, the lost art of "snipe hunting."

I didn't know anyone went "snipe hunting" anymore.

All you need is burlap sacks and a small group of young wannabe snipe hunters.

See, here's what you do. You take the young snipe hunters and give them the bags. Then you lead them deep into the woods at night to a suitable location. A clearing surrounded by thick brush is usually best as the snipes like to congregate in such places. You position the young snipe hunters in the thick brush around the clearing, telling him that you will chase the snipes to them, and all they have to do is catch them in the bag when one runs towards them.

Of course, you may need to go find some snipes elsewhere in the woods and herd them towards the clearing if any don't show up on their own. It's a great way to teach the young snipe hunters patience and give them an opportunity to overcome their fear of being out in the middle of nowhere in the dark of night as they wait for you to return.

Oh yeah...it's very important that they not bring any kind of electrical devices such as flashlights or cell phones because snipes can sense electricity.

When comparing the number of posts by some members, the term newbie is kind of relevant considering the board is 6 years old. I've noticed a few recent posts by some members that have been registered for years yet they only have a small handful of posts.

However, do NOT discount the total number of posts in regard to the twinky stars as some members (not mentioning any names) take them very seriously!

The Top 20 Posters as of today:

Snipe hunting is best left to the more agile and younger members...

Not at all. Besides, your age is relevant to how old or young you feel. I'm 42 and while there are times when (I think) I feel younger and do the work which would best be suited for younger people, I usually pay the price for that over the next couple of days.

The way I look at it, your NOT old as long as one can get downrange to change targets and not make a day trip out of it!

While you're on your way, you have quite some time to go to get to those twinky stars.

Come on MC isn't that old.

Just because he remembers noahs ark doesn't mean anything. His story about a previous lifetime might be true.
