Doc,That would be great if you can make it! It's taking place the weekend of August 5th & 6th. MC19111, Sedstar, Rob, and myself are staying at the Dover Days Inn . I don't remember offhand what the rates were, but you can give them a call. I think the rest of the guys are camping out on the gun club grounds. They have room for campers and tents and have a porta-potie and running cold water. There are no camper hookups (electric/water) or open fires allowed. Saturday night is the Lobster Fest which is $25. There is an additional charge of $2.50 and $5.00 for each round of trap (singles and double respectively). I know Rob is driving up from NC and picking Sedstar up in PA along the way. MC1911 is also coming up from NC, but he'll be leaving early and staying at my place for about a week prior to the event. You might be able to hookup with Rob, but I'll let him speak for himself. ------------------

Manchester NH Airport is only 1 hour away! It's also cheaper to fly in/out there!!Greg, "Tony.45" called me to confirm that he'll be there! Doc, You gotta come! I suggest to all those who are coming, attend the Saturday night dinner. I've got connections, those lobsters are going to be fresh from the trap!! Steamed clams, corn on the cob, might even find some hotdogs and hamburgers too! Frothy adult beverages after shooting hours are over. And the biggest treat, getting to dine in person with those that you've been typing to for years! ------------------ "RLB Stock" August 5 & 6 in Southern Maine. All RLB members welcome!

OK, so how do you get your rifles there if you fly? I've heard a lot of security horror stories about people flying with firearms. I've never flown with firearms before so it's all been hearsay. Can anyone confirm what's involved in flying with your firearms?
Doc, I don't know where the airport is, but I can shoot over there and pick you up should you choose to fly up for the weekend. Paul, regarding plated bullets on steel, Clayt would have to answer that one. ------------------

Doc- If you can make it here, and would like to spend a few extra days you can as my guest at my home (for along as you like). We can go shooting at my club and fishing for trout ( you DON"T need a NH fishing or hunting license) all expenses paid. YOU are welcome, and I will get you back to Manchester Airport on time. Just think of the fun of a RBL STOCK and then a 4thebrdz Stock for a couple days. New Hampshire this time of year is pretty good! I know that you may have second thoughts but DON"T WORRY we don't eat Rebels!! edit- I live by the Swift River and there is lots of swimming there with rocks to jump from and trout in the river. Lots of hiking just out the door. We have a few gazels that are good to look at when things get slow. We eat meat here but chicken qualifies also. Bring a receipe. I still have a bit o' deer from last season and white perch. The sky is the limit! Had 2 rainbows this night for dinner. You have your own bedroon w a Queen bed. We have is inside plumbing and cooking . I get up early. Cocktails in the evening, watching the sun go down. Also Fox channel has the current war stories on all day long. You couldn't hope for more. 2 shelties and a cat round out the family. The wife is great and does laundry and cooks when I don't. ------------------ PAUL -------------------------"THE UNSATISFIED LED BY THE UNQUALIFIED TO DO THE UNNESSARY FOR THE UNGRATEFUL"[Edited 1 time by 4thebrdz on 07-20-2006 at 12:53 AM]

The steel plates are 100 + 200 yards away, feel free to shoot at them with non-AP ammo short of 50 BMG. 4lbs of steamer each?? I'm staying clear of you 2 and the porta-pottie!! As far as flying with firearms, they are just checked baggage, do a web search of your airlines rules, they'll list their requirements. ~Clayt

No need to worry about the potty, clayt. We do this at my place a lot. So far no explosions. or hepitites! So the plates can be shot @ with conventional bullets? Thanks edit- How many rounds of trap can I shoot in an afternoon? Ammo has to be bought!! Mossberg 500w/ a 28"barrel and screw in chocks would my trap gun. (All I got fo 12ga) I hven't shoot trap in many moons, but will for laughs. ------------------ PAUL -------------------------"THE UNSATISFIED LED BY THE UNQUALIFIED TO DO THE UNNESSARY FOR THE UNGRATEFUL"[Edited 3 times. Paul,Trap is in the mornings, but I would be asking myself, "how many rounds of 12 gauge trap will my shoulder take?" Especially knowing that I'd be shooting other rifles the whole weekend. It's been many moons since I shot trap too, so this should be quite amusing. ------------------

Yes Greg! @ 57 (and have lost at least 40# in the last year) I use a shoulder pad. It works great with heavy mags and steel butt plated military. I haven't shot the old blunder (Moss 500) in quite some time! ------------------ PAUL -------------------------"THE UNSATISFIED LED BY THE UNQUALIFIED TO DO THE UNNESSARY FOR THE UNGRATEFUL"

Member CBB- Andy has come up with a bullet lube for BPCR shooting: http://www.reloadbench.com/ubb/Forum11/HTML/000098.html If I can get a count of how many of us at RBL Stock 2006 would like to try this new bullet lube, I can get the info to CBB. No cost to you guys as I will handle the ship charge and bring the lube for our testing of this. This maybe the first group test of his new product and we can give him feedback for his up and comming marketing for this product. Anyone that belives he might want to try the lube can drop a line to this tread or e-mail to 4thebrdz@adelphia.net. I hope we can get about 6 of us for this testing. Thanks------------------ PAUL -------------------------"THE UNSATISFIED LED BY THE UNQUALIFIED TO DO THE UNNESSARY FOR THE UNGRATEFUL"

My grandson and I will be in for the day. We are going camping in the North Woods starting that evening and will be in the woods for 4 or 5 nights; therefore we will miss the lobster "Supper". Not that I do not want to be around but I get to see my grandson once or twice a year. See yo'all on the fifth.------------------ The truth is the disabler of the lie.

Paul, I noticed the thread that CBB started in the Black Powder Cartridges forum on this. The closest I get to black powder is my inline muzzleloader, which certainly does not apply to BPCR. However, I do hope that this works out well and gets favorable reviews.I received an electronic bore cleaner, some time ago from another member to test out. Unfortunately, I haven't had time to test this out yet (my apologies) nor have I had the time for any loading or shooting so there really was no need for any cleaning. I have a 25-06 target/varmint rig that I still need to tweak some loads for, but the barrel has always had some severe copper fouling. I'll bring this to the RLB STOCK 206 and finally test this electronic cleaning kit. I'm hoping it gets all the copper out of the bore so I can try to condition the bore with some JB bore paste. Anyone else that wants to try this is welcome to and hopefully get some feedback on it to pass along. Mike, I've updated the list of RLB STOCK 2006 members. Look forward to meeting everyone in two weeks. I think we'll all have a great time and they'll be plenty of "talk" about this event for quite some time, especially with Rob & Sed...
