I challenge anyone to come up to my range. we will have a liitle game of shooting. big bore of course.

1. July 18, Strathcona MN
2. 50 dollar entry fee.
3. 5 shots each target.
a. 270yds off hand
b. 600 yards any way you want except supported in any way.
c. 125 yards silent gong.
4. in case of a tie 3 shot at 30" bull at 1000yards. first one to hit it wins. electricity available. maybe water hook ups for RV no sewer.
5 in case of a tie again, we will move to my golf game, rules are as follows. shooter a hits a golf ball in bounds. shooter b must kill gaolf ball. where it lands for a point. this is off the bench. rounds will carry on until we havea winner.

No sight adjustments are allowed once shoot begins.
no bull barrels allowed. must be deer legal. Hunting rifles only...customs are allowed. bring you frickin magnums, I'm betting on anything other than magnum. will be taking wagers on 2.5 to one odds against the magnum.

Tgully, I used to hang out, sometimes, with a group of old men, by "old", I mean I am the child at 59 -- the senior guy is 87. All of us are magnum shooters and not little magnums either. The rule is, when they get together, the smallest rifle they allow is a .375 H & H but virtually all of them shoot .416s and .458s. They toss money in a hat and the best group of the day takes the dough. These guys are all old African hunters and a winning five shot group is invariably less than 1/2." They don't allow Lead Sleds or even PAST recoil shields ["those are for kids and old ladies"] so you've gotta' do some serious shooting and take a beating while you do it. These guys, -- there's usually 6 to 10 of them -- have more fun than any group of shooters I've ever seen.

Clayt,
I live in New York State and might be up for your challenge. I've been known to eat a sixpack of lobsters.

That sounds like more of a challenge. Who can eat the most lobster, steamers, and drink the most beer?

It's a good thing I'm not drinking now! Just thinking about it; I guess I won't place in that event.

paul,

$50.00 It may be enough but I doubt it. There are some on this board who can consume $50.00 worth of food and that is just enough to stir up an appetite. We are talking about piles of food here.

Golf, anyone..

An 18 hole 18 beer tournament... One beer per hole...

I hate golf , But I was always in on these events... Maybe the dumbest event next to soccer , butI loved to play it...

I don't encourage the booze and Bang , Bangs... So shoot first then drink up..

Tgully101,
I will compete in your shooting contest if I can bring The Cannon...

You know guys, we could make this happen! ($50 each would buy a lot of lobster...I have connections!)

My Club is in South Berwick, Maine, very Southern Maine, near the NH boarder..... We have a Clubhouse that seats 120+ people during the annual game supper. 2 trap fields, 0-50yd outdoor pistol range, combo 50-100-200 yd. outdoor rifle range. Motorhome parking on site (no hook-ups), field for tents, malls nearby, lighthouses, fishing/tour boats and a big gunstore called Kittery Trading Post www.ktp.com 5 miles away!

Do a "Mapquest" and see how far!

For Greg: Total Est. Time: 5 hours, 5 minutes Total Est. Distance: 287.39 miles

For SniperBob: Total Est. Time: 2 hours, 21 minutes
Total Est. Distance: 118.09 miles

For Chris, while in Rangely: Total Est. Time: 3 hours, 32 minutes
Total Est. Distance: 159.82 miles

For Mike Gross: Total Est. Time: 32 hours, 12 minutes
Total Est. Distance: 2108.94 miles (About 1.25 hrs from Boston, 1 hr from Manchester, NH or Portland, ME airports)

Sedstar could catch a ride with Rob on the way by..........

We could call it "RLB-STOCK 2006!"

Well, I did the MapQuest thing and I am 5 hours 35 minutes away. At total of 302.31 miles. I'm sure it would be a good time.
