A relatively fast burning spherical Olin manufactured propellant,
HS7 is kin to Winchester 571. It is basically a shotshell powder that has
handgun applications. This powder was named for the 7th in a series of Hodgdon
shotshell powders. Hodgdon suggests the 357 Magnum, 41 Magnum, 44 Magnum
and 45 Winchester Magnum as well suited applications of this powder.
