This double base spherical powder is manufactured by Olin and
sold under the Hodgdon name. It will nearly duplicate the performance of
Winchester 231 and it is extremely fast burning. The name was derived from
Handgun Propellant ideal for the 38 Special. Hodgdon suggests it is a perfect
candidate not only for the 38 Special but also for the 9mm Luger and the
45 ACP. It is suitable for use in almost all handgun cartridges and is an
economical powder to use.
